Aldeburgh Townhouse with Whole-Home Plantation Shutters
A duck-egg-blue Aldeburgh townhouse where we dressed every window in white plantation shutters, room by room. The frontage gets bay shutters that read clean from the street. Inside, the angled five-panel bay in the teal-velvet lounge, the four-panel bay in the mustard-and-red ottoman snug and the matching bay in the bedroom all share the same crisp white shutter, so the architectural detail of each angled opening still leads the eye and the velvet pieces are left to do the colour work. Up in the loft snug, full-height shutters sit at the tall sashes against the sloped ceiling and exposed oak rafters. The master bedroom is finished with twin-sash shutters against a calm cream palette with rattan dressing table and paper rice pendant. One product, every room, one cohesive house.
